Tirumala trust chief condemns Owaisi's comments over comparisons with waqf board

This comes amid an ongoing row over a proposal to employ only Hindus at the Tirumala temple trust.

Bollineni Rajagopal Naidu, who is set to take charge as Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on November 6, criticised AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi for comparing the temple board with the waqf board.

This comes amid an ongoing row over a proposal to employ only Hindus at the Tirumala temple trust.

Naidu's reaction came after Owaisi questioned the inclusion of non-Muslims on the waqf board in the proposed Waqf Amendment Bill, highlighting that not a single member on the TTD Board was a non-Hindu.
