Khatija on dad AR Rahman's absence at 'Minmini' event: No interest in feeding trolls
Khatija also stated that she was dealing with imposter syndrome and how she had to make her work speak for her.

Khatija Rahman, daughter of AR Rahman, talked about why her father, AR Rahman, was absent at the audio launch of her debut film, 'Minmini', which took place today, July 24.
According to a report in Indian Express, Khatija said she wanted her father to talk about her only after she proves herself. She also said that she has no interest in feeding the trolls. 'Minimini' is directed by Halitha Shameem.
Speaking about Rahman's absence at the audio launch, Khatija said, "It is better I start slow, prove myself, and then he [AR Rahman] talks about me. Otherwise, I know what will happen on social media. I have no interest in feeding the trolls. I can’t escape criticism or comparisons, but I would like to be my own person first.”
Khatija also stated that she was dealing with imposter syndrome and how she had to make her work speak for her.
"I had self doubts when I read the comments about my launch as a composer. In fact, I was dealing with imposter syndrome, and I understood that my work has to do the talking. I have not taken this opportunity for granted, and I've worked really hard for this. I hope people give constructive feedback about 'Minmini', instead of choosing to bash me on social media," she stated.
