Air Canada Delhi-Toronto flight gets bomb threat, screening underway: Sources

An Air Canada flight (AC43) en route from Delhi to Toronto received a bomb threat e-mail on Tuesday, sources said.

The flight that was scheduled to take off around 10.50 pm, was sent to the isolation bay. Necessary aircraft screening process was undertaken, to ensure the safety of passengers.

In a similar incident last week, a Paris-Mumbai Vistara flight, with 306 passengers and crew members onboard, received "a handwritten note on an airsickness bag threatening a bomb" in the aircraft, a media report said citing a source.

On Friday, a Delhi-Srinagar Vistara flight with 177 passengers onboard received a bomb threat mid-air. It landed safely in Srinagar and all the passengers and the crew were evacuated.
