Charges anticipated following multi-vehicle crash in Kitchener

A stretch of Trussler Road in Kitchener was closed Wednesday because of a multi-vehicle crash with police expecting to lay charges.

A stretch of Trussler Road in Kitchener was closed Wednesday because of a multi-vehicle crash with police expecting to lay charges.

The collision happened around 4 p.m. and shut down Trussler Road between Huron Road and Bleams Road, between a Hyundai, a Honda and a freightliner transport truck.

According to regional police, the 56-year-old Ayr man behind the wheel of the Hyundai and the 55-year-old man from Kitchener driving the involved Honda were both taken to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the transport truck, a 57-year-old Kitchener man, was unharmed.

While the investigation is still ongoing, police have indicated that charges are anticipated to be laid.
