This comes after a row erupted over Maldivian politicians ridiculing PM Modi's visit to Lakshadweep.

However, The Maldives government has rejected the derogatory remarks against PM Modi, stating that they did not represent the views of Male.

Meanwhile, earlier on Monday, EaseMyTrip, an Indian online travel agency, announced that it suspended all bookings for flights to the Maldives following the row.
