1 person dead, 3 injured in multiple-vehicle collision near Simcoe

One person is dead and three others are injured following a multiple-vehicle collision in Norfolk County, police said.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say they responded to a collision between a cement truck, a sedan and an SUV at around 3:11 p.m. on October 15.

"The driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old resident of Norfolk County, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene," police said in a news release.

The drivers of the truck and the sedan as well as the sedan's passenger were all taken to hospital "with undetermined injuries."
