Bitcoin hits record $123,000

Bitcoin touched a record high of $123,153.22 on July 14 before easing slightly to trade about 2.4% up near $122,000, reported Reuters. This sharp rise comes as investors look forward to fresh support from the US government. 

Later in the day, the US House of Representatives will discuss bills that could finally give the crypto industry clear rules.

The excitement is also linked to US President Donald Trump, who has called himself the “crypto president”. He has urged lawmakers to fix old rules and make new ones that favour the crypto world, the report mentioned.
