Yashasvi Jaiswal, expressed his gratitude and excitement at the opportunity to play alongside Virat Kohli at the beginning of his career. After the first day of the second Test match against West Indies, Jaiswal praised Kohli's batting prowess, calling him a legend and stating that he considers himself blessed to share the field with him.

He spoke highly of Kohli's mentorship, both on and off the pitch, acknowledging the invaluable lessons he has learned from the former India captain.

“It is amazing to see him bat. What can I say? He is a legend. I am blessed to play with him. There’s a lot of things to learn from him be it cricket and outside of it. I try to pick his mind,” Jaiswal said during the press conference.
