Pakistan became the No. 1 ODI side in the ICC Rankings after a thumping 102-run win over New Zealand in the 4th ODI of a 5-match series in Karachi on Friday, May 5. Babar Azam's century helped Pakistan post a mammoth total before a collective bowling effort gave them the big win and 4-0 lead in the series.

Pakistan were fifth on the ODI rankings before the series started with a rating of 106 but having comfortably outclassed New Zealand in the first 4 matches of the series at home, they have moved ahead of Australia and India.

Pakistan are the top of the ODI charts with 113.483 points while Australia (113.286) are 2nd and India (112.638) dropped to 3rd. The No. 1 ranking is a huge boost for Pakistan in the ODI World Cup year as they have been consistently good in white-ball cricket in the recent past.
