India and United States have agreed to send a joint space mission in 2024 after New Delhi signed Artemis Accords to advance a common vision for space exploration.

The announcement was made by White House during PM Narendra Modi's state visit to U.S. With this, India has joined a selected group of 23 countries to sign the Artemis Accords.
Spearheaded by the United States, the Artemis Accords endeavor to facilitate the human return to the moon by 2025, as a pivotal step towards advancing space exploration to encompass Mars and other celestial destinations in the future.
