Boy dies after being struck by school bus in Almonte

A nine-year-old boy has died after being struck by a school bus transporting children in Almonte, Ont., according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On Jun 25 afternoon, the police service posted on social media that it was investigating a serious collision on Paterson Street. 

At the scene, OPP officer Corey Noonan said the boy who died was coming from R. Tait McKenzie Public School and was riding a bike at the time of the collision around 3:40 p.m. Police have notified the boy's family.
