OpenAI made an AI software engineer

OpenAI has recently unveiled its new Artificial Intelligent (AI) coding agent, Codex, in ChatGPT. 

The company describes it as a cloud-based software engineering agent that can work on many tasks in parallel and is powered by codex-1. 

OpenAI says that codex-1, a variant of its o3 Artificial Intelligent reasoning model, is significantly more streamlined. Designed to assist with software development, Codex can handle tasks like feature implementation, bug fixing, codebase queries, and even generating pull requests for review. 

Each task is executed within a dedicated cloud-based sandbox, already set up with your project’s repository.
