PM Modi receives grand ceremonial welcome in Sri Lanka

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Sri Lanka on Apr 4 evening on a three-day visit to explore ways to bolster overall bilateral ties, especially in the areas of energy, trade, connectivity, digitalisation and defence. 

During his visit, he will participate in various programmes. It is also PM Modi’s first visit to the island country since the election of its new president. 

PM Narendra Modi received a ceremonial Guard of Honour in Colombo at the Independence Square. 

He received by Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Independence Square. 

PM Modi is on a three-day visit to Sri Lanka after he attended the BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok.
