Several Mumbai Police officers visited comedian Kunal Kamra's home in the city after he failed to appear for questioning in connection with his jokes on Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Reacting to the development, Kamra said it was a "waste of time and public resources" to visit a place he hasn't lived in for 10 years.
Kunal Kamra, who recently sparked a huge controversy after his stand-up at Mumbai's Habitat Studio in Khar, is a resident of Tamil Nadu.
He was summoned by Khar police for questioning in the case on March 31, but failed to appear, following which cops visited his home in Mumbai.
"Going to an address where I haven’t lived for the last 10 years is a waste of your time & public resources," Kamra tweeted.
