Rajeev Chandrasekhar may be next Kerala BJP chief

Former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Mar 23 filed his nomination papers for the post of Kerala BJP chief. 

He is the only candidate who has filed his papers for the position and could be elected unopposed to lead the state unit.

However, the official announcement was made on Mar 24 at around 11 am after the party's press conference.

The 60-year-old former Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology filed his nomination after a meeting of the BJP core committee earlier in the day.
