Kannada actor Ranya Rao denied bail by special court in gold smuggling case

Kannada actor Ranya Rao, arrested on Mar 4 for allegedly smuggling 15 kg of gold valued at 12 crore rupees from Dubai, has been denied bail by a special court.

The Enforcement Directorate has initiated raids in Karnataka, suspecting an international gold smuggling network.

The CBI is scrutinising footage from Rao's recent wedding for potential connections to the smuggling operation. Rao will remain in judicial custody pending further legal proceedings.
