India captain Rohit Sharma hit back at critics who feel that the side has carried too many spinners for the Champions Trophy.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of their opener in the Champions Trophy, Rohit shunned the idea that India should not have carried 5 spinners in their side, given that they are playing all their matches in Dubai.

Addressing the press conference at the Dubai International Stadium on Feb 19, Rohit said that India had 2 full-time spinners in the squad, and 3 all-rounders, who could bowl and bat equally.

Sharma hit back at critics, stating that when opposition teams play 3 fast-bowling all-rounders, no one asks questions as to why they play 6 fast bowlers in the side.
