DMK says Governor Ravi responsible for Anna University sexual assault case

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has held Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi responsible for the recent sexual assault incident at Anna University, with the party claiming that the lack of leadership at the university is directly linked to the Governor's failure to appoint a Vice Chancellor.
RS Bharathi, the DMK Organisational Secretary, voiced his concerns, stating that Governor Ravi had neglected his duties by not appointing a Vice Chancellor, which he argued led to administrative paralysis at the university. "Aren’t you saying that he is the one to appoint? So who is responsible for what happened in Anna University? Governor is only responsible. According to you, that is the truth. Vice Chancellor handles the administration of a university," said Bharathi.
The DMK leader further emphasised that the delay in appointing a Vice Chancellor has severely impacted the university's functioning, making it "paralysed." He pointed out that the absence of proper leadership at Anna University contributed to the recent crisis.
