Nasa's Parker Solar Probe is set to make history on Christmas Eve with a record-breaking flyby of the Sun.

It is said that at approximately 5:23 PM IST, the probe will pass within 6.1 million kilometers of the Sun's surface, marking the closest approach any spacecraft has ever achieved.

This remarkable event will see the Parker Solar Probe travelling at an astonishing speed of 6,92,000 kilometers per hour, making it the fastest human-made object ever constructed.
