Earlier on Saturday, Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced that the new government's oath-taking ceremony will be held on December 5, while no official name has been announced for the Chief Minister's post.

Chandrashekhar said on X that the swearing-in ceremony would be held at 5 pm at Mumbai's Azad Maidan. The event, he said, will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
