Kerala signs new agreement with Adani to complete Vizhinjam port by 2028
.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced the signing of a supplementary concession agreement with Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited, fast-tracking the completion of the Vizhinjam International Seaport.
The new agreement modified the original timelines for the project’s completion.
The state government and Adani have committed to commissioning the port by December 2024 and completing all its phases by 2028, much ahead of the original 2045 deadline.
The original agreement gave time until 2045 for the port’s final phase, but this new agreement accelerates the timeline by more than 15 years.
