.

Star Australia all rounder Glenn Maxwell said that India’s young batting sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal will score more than 40 Test hundreds in his career. Notably, Jaiswal played a brilliant knock of 161 (297) in the second innings of the first Test at Optus Stadium in Perth. The southpaw played in an uncharacteristic fashion as he showed resilience at the crease and saw-off the new ball.

Once set at the crease, the opening batter further unleashed his shots against a tiring Australian bowling attack, sucking the juice out of them with his tremendous strokeplay. Following his brilliant innings, Jaiswal drew appreciation from the entire cricketing fraternity as Glenn Maxwell also praised the youngster hailing his ability to adapt in different conditions. The Australian all rounder also said that he will score over 40 hundreds in his career.

"He's (Jaiswal) a guy that will probably get more than 40 Test hundreds and write some different records. He's got a great ability to adapt to different conditions. It's going to be scary if Australia can't find a way to stop him over the next few games," said Maxwell on 'The Grade Cricketer' podcast.
