Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has confirmed that the injury he sustained during the Premier League clash against Aston Villa on October 6 will keep him out for several weeks. Maguire's absence adds to the growing list of issues for United manager Erik ten Hag, whose team has already struggled with a shaky defensive structure this season.    

Maguire, who has shown significant improvement in form this season, has been one of the few bright spots in what has otherwise been a disappointing campaign for United. The centre-back picked up a knee injury during the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa and took to social media to confirm that he will be sidelined for the upcoming weeks. His injury has raised further concerns for ten Hag, especially given the club’s defensive vulnerabilities this season.
