Ottawa man charged in fatal bike crash
The woman went to the hospital, police said, where she died two days later.
Police have charged an Ottawa man with dangerous driving causing death after a fatal bicycle crash earlier this week.
At around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 24, a woman was riding her bike when she was struck by a vehicle, the Ottawa Police Service said in a Saturday afternoon news release.
The woman went to the hospital, police said, where she died two days later. She was identified by police Saturday as 33-year-old Chanel Charette.
Tony Bere, 25, is expected to appear in court Sunday, police said.
