Congress edge over BJP in Haryana's Lok Sabha seats
25-Aug-2024The INDIA bloc, of which Congress is a part, would likely win 45.8 per cent of the votes, slightly down from the 47.61 per cent that it polled in the 2024 elections.

The Congress would pip the BJP in Haryana, gaining a seat at the latter's expense if Lok Sabha elections were to be held today, according to India Today's Mood of the Nation survey.
The Congress, according to the opinion poll, would win six of the 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state with the BJP bagging four. Both parties won five seats each in the recent general election.
The Mood of the Nation poll, analysing voter trends for a Lok Sabha election, was held just ahead of assembly elections in Haryana; the state votes on October 1.
However, it must be noted that voter sentiments and poll issues vary for national and state elections.
In terms of vote share, the Mood of the Nation survey indicates a close contest between the two major alliances.
The INDIA bloc, of which Congress is a part, would likely win 45.8 per cent of the votes, slightly down from the 47.61 per cent that it polled in the 2024 elections.
The NDA's vote share would stand at 44.2 per cent, also experiencing a small drop from the 46.11 per cent in the general election, according to the survey.
Other parties, including the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), would continue to struggle in Haryana, with both drawing a blank, according to the Mood of the Nation survey, similar to the the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
