The United Nations has condemned attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Amid violence against the minority Hindu community in Bangladesh, a spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he stands against any racially based attacks or incitement to violence.

Hindu minorities in Bangladesh are facing attacks and thousands from the country have been attempting to infiltrate into India amid the anti-government protests in Bangladesh that led to the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government.

Multiple online videos showed temples being set ablaze, and houses and businesses of Hindus being attacked. An ISKCON temple in Meherpur, located in Bangladesh's Khulna division, and a Kali temple were vandalised and torched. Meanwhile, two Hindu councillors were killed amid the protest.
