Police investigating homicide in Kingston
An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is being asked to contact Kingston Police.
Police in Kingston, Ont., say they have opened a homicide investigation after an incident early Sunday morning resulted in someone's death.
Officers responded to an apartment building around 2:30 a.m. near Cassidy and Montreal streets north of the city's downtown after receiving reports of an assault that left one person severely injured, according to a Tuesday morning news release from Kingston Police.
That person was taken to hospital and later died of their injuries. Police have not released further details about them.
There is no risk to public safety, police say.

Their major crime unit was seeking the public's assistance to identify two individuals believed to be related to the homicide.
