Lawsuit against USA Cricket Board dismissed

USA Cricket announced that the lawsuit brought by ex-Director (Mr. Sushil Nadkarni) and USAC member (Mr. Ajay Jhamb) against the USA Cricket Board was dismissed in FULL by the District Court of JEFFERSON County, Colorado, on May 11.

USA Cricket announced that the lawsuit brought by ex-Director (Mr. Sushil Nadkarni) and USAC member (Mr. Ajay Jhamb) against the USA Cricket Board was dismissed in FULL by the District Court of JEFFERSON County, Colorado, on May 11.

The court agreed with the arguments by USA Cricket and dismissed the entire lawsuit. The original complaint by the plaintiffs was filed on February 1st, 2023 in the Colorado Court and an initial hearing occurred on February 23rd, 2023 where the court refused to extend a Temporary Restraining Order or impose a Preliminary Injunction.

The lawsuit had a significant impact on the current financial situation of the organization and the court order gives relief to the Board and the entire cricket community who are optimistic to see cricket moving forward in the country.

USA Cricket urges its members and the community to keep their trust and confidence in the NGC and the election process. The USA Cricket Board is currently planning to hold the delayed 2022 elections to become 100% in compliance with their election obligations.
