"Had they asked me politely to give up my Rajya Sabha membership, I would have given my life. I have never been greedy or after any position", Maliwal said.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Swati Maliwal on May 23 said she would have happily given up her Rajya Sabha membership if the party wanted her to quit.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Maliwal was responding to certain reports claiming the AAP wanted her to give up her Rajya Sabha membership and vacate it for a 'certain lawyer', the reason that might have possibly led to the party getting upset with her.

"Had they asked me politely to give up my Rajya Sabha membership, I would have given my life. I have never been greedy or after any position", Maliwal said.
