Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar arrives in Sri Lanka

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is an Indian yoga guru and a spiritual leader popularly known as a global humanitarian and peace envoy. He is the founder of ‘Transcendental Meditation’.

The Global Peace Ambassador and Spiritual Leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar arrived in Sri Lanka in the afternoon on May 18, on a three-day visit.

State Minister of Defence Premitha Bandara Tennakoon received the Spiritual Leader at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake upon his arrival in the island. Governor of Eastern Province Senthil Thondaman also joined the State Minister on this occasion.

He will stay in Sri Lanka from May 18 to 20 and is slated to attend an event titled ‘Ekamuthuva:   An   Evening   of   Music,   Meditation   and   Wisdom’   to be held at Taj Samudra on May 19.
