Meta will soon give users option to share their Instagram posts on Threads

Right now, they're testing it globally, allowing users to switch on a setting on Instagram that lets them post directly to Threads.

Meta, the company behind Instagram and Facebook, wants more people to use Threads, their alternative to another platform called X. They're trying out a new feature to make it easier for Instagram users to share their posts on Threads.

Right now, they're testing it globally, allowing users to switch on a setting on Instagram that lets them post directly to Threads. But, for now, it only works with photos, not videos like Reels. Since Instagram is all about videos lately, Threads could be a good place for sharing your photos.

Meta says it's an optional thing, so users can choose whether they want to use it, as per Tech Crunch report. When you post from Instagram to Threads, your caption becomes regular text, and hashtags won't work the same way they do on Instagram.

Meta has been promoting Threads on Facebook and Instagram before, suggesting Threads posts to users to encourage them to check it out. They've also been trying out ways to let people post from Facebook to Threads.

They're also trying to encourage more people to create content on Threads by offering bonuses to popular users. Mark Zuckerberg mentioned in a call that Threads now has over 150 million monthly users.
