The province says it has identified sophisticated cybersecurity incidents involving its networks, recently.
In a statement on Wednesday (May 8), Premier David Eby says the Government of B.C. is working to find the extent of the incidents.
“The government is working closely with the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (Cyber Centre) and other agencies to determine the extent of the incidents and implement additional measures to safeguard data and information systems,” he said.
He says the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner has also been informed.
