Over 20 employees of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in the United States have alleged that the company engaged in unlawful discrimination based on race and age, reported The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

In total, 22 American professionals accused TCS of suddenly firing them in favour of workers from India on H-1B visas.

The individuals laid off by TCS consist of Caucasians, Asian-Americans, and Hispanic Americans, all ranging in age from their 40s to their 60s. They reside in over a dozen states across the US.

Based on the complaints, several individuals laid off by TCS possess a Master of Business Administration or other advanced degrees.
