The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana recently arrested four government officials in connection with the sheep distribution scheme scam case.
The arrests come as part of an ongoing investigation into the criminal misappropriation case registered against officials of the Animal Husbandry Department.
The arrested individuals include D Ravi and M Aditya Kesava Sai, both Assistant Directors, along with Sri Pasula Raghupathi Reddy, a District Groundwater Officer, and Sri Sangu Ganesh, a Deputy Director in the Adult Education Department.
These officials allegedly worked with private entities to fabricate fraudulent benami accounts, resulting in the misappropriation of around Rs 2.10 crore of government funds.
