Tamil Nadu’s ruling party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has passed a resolution seeking the abolition of the Governor post in the state

Tamil Nadu’s ruling party Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has passed a resolution seeking the abolition of the Governor post in the state, saying that the BJP government at the centre attempts to run a parallel government against elected representatives of the state.

“Abolishing the post of Governor is necessary to save democracy,” the resolution stated, which was passed at the 2nd DMK Youth Wing Meet on Sunday, Chaired by Chief Minister MK Stalin's son and Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.

The DMK resolution further said that the BJP is the real enemy of Hindus and the "Narendra Modi government’s attempt to garner votes in the name of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is a way of betraying devotees after failing to fulfil the promises".
