The Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPI(M) has announced that it will be contesting in the upcoming Assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.

In Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana, the party will contest in three, four, and an undecided number of seats respectively. In Rajasthan, the committee endorsed a list of 17 candidates proposed by the State Committee, including two sitting CPI(M) MLAs.
