Woman beaten to death over missed loan payment in Bihar, 4 arrested

A woman in Bihar's Katihar was allegedly thrashed to death on Thursday for failing to pay an instalment of a loan she took from money lenders.

A woman in Bihar's Katihar was allegedly thrashed to death on Thursday for failing to pay an instalment of a loan she took from money lenders.

The woman's minor daughter also got injured on her face in the attack. Police have arrested four people in connection with the incident.

The woman's daughter said the money lenders wanted her mother to give away her mobile phone in place of the loan instalment and when she refused, they started attacking her.

She later succumbed to her injuries.
