Bharatiya Janata Party’s Salem (East) District President P Shanmuganathan has filed a complaint against a parent employed under the Central government accusing him of violating service rules for questioning Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi about when he would give assent to the NEET exemption bill.
The BJP has filed a complaint with the Executive Director of Salem Steel Plant against the employee.
The parent, KR Ammasiappan, had raised the question when the Governor was interacting with top scorers of the NEET-UG and their parents as part of his ‘Think to Dare’ series at the Raj Bhavan last Saturday.
Ammasiappan is an employee at the Salem steel plant and the BJP district unit has sought action against him, claiming that he openly criticised a central government policy and it amounted to violation of the Central Civil Services conduct rules.
The complaint said Ammasiappan deliberately ‘humiliated' the governor and the central government.
