Taking to Twitter, the prime minister said, "Chandrayaan-3 scripts a new chapter in India's space odyssey. It soars high, elevating the dreams and ambitions of every Indian. This momentous achievement is a testament to our scientists' relentless dedication."

PM Modi, who is currently in France for a two-day official visit, further said, "I salute their spirit and ingenuity!"

The Indian Space Research Organisation on Friday launched the much-awaited Chandrayaan-3 mission without to the Moon from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on board the Launch Vehicle Mark-III.
