The video of the dramatic rescue of a seven-month-old baby after she fell from the fourth floor of an apartment in Chennai and was stuck on the roof has gone viral.

In the two-minute-20-second video, the baby dangles over the edge of the tin sheet on the second floor of the apartment complex in Thirumullaivoyal near Avadi as residents gather to rescue him.

In the clip, recorded from the balcony of the opposite block, people are seen holding a bed sheet to prevent the baby from falling as a man climbs to the first-floor balcony from the window.

As the rescue attempt is underway, the baby can be seen slipping closer to the edge of the roof. Then another man climbs onto the balcony railing and tries to grab the child as residents are heard screaming.

According to reports, the child sustained minor injuries on her arm and leg and was rushed to a hospital.
