This year, Diwali will be celebrated on November 12. PM Modi, who is on a three-day visit to Australia, made the comments at a joint press briefing with PM Albanese after a bilateral between them in Sydney.

Invoking cricket, PM Modi said India-Australia ties have entered "T20 mode". "I invite PM Anthony Albanese and all Australian cricket fans to India for the Cricket World Cup this year. At that time, you will also get to see the grand Diwali celebration in India," he said.
