Several Hindu religious leaders on Sunday launched a scathing attack against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi, after he compared Sanatana dharma with "dengue" and "malaria".

Speaking at the Sanatana Abolition Conference on Saturday, Udhayanidhi said that Sanatana dharma should not just be opposed, but "eradicated".

His remarks sparked a row as several Hindu religious leaders came forward and claimed that there is no end to Sanatana dharma.

"Many religions have started and ended, but there is no end to the Sanatana Dharma," ANI quoted Akhila Karnataka Brahmin Mahasabha's Raghvendra Bhat as saying.
