Man's death in Barrhaven under investigation by OPS homicide unit

The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the death of a man in Barrhaven on Friday evening as a homicide.

Police identified the victim on Saturday morning as 58-year-old Wilson Sabarros of Ottawa.

In a media release late Friday, police reported they were called to Pondhollow Way around 5:16 p.m. on Friday and officers found Sabarros dead.

Police said they have made no arrests but they do not believe there is an ongoing risk to public safety, and the investigation is ongoing.
