Banglore: Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi has been arrested by the Karnataka Crime Branch police for drug trafficking.
Film director Indrajith Langesh has been questioned by the police after he accused the Kannada film industry of using drugs. During the investigation, he allegedly told the police the names of 15 people who belonged to the film industry who used drugs.
Indrajith Langesh was questioned by the police recently to get more information. In addition, the police had sent a notice to actress Ragini Dwivedi to appear for interrogation.
Ava, through her lawyers, said she would appear on September 7. Police did not agree and ordered Ava to appear for questioning recently.
Police are investigating Ragini Dwivedi's friend Ravi Shankar and actress Sanjana Kalrani's friend Rahul.
"I have nothing to do with the drug case. I will prove this in the police investigation," Ragini tweeted.
With the permission of the court, the Karnataka Crime Branch police raided Ragini's house in Bangalore this morning and arrested her and took her away for questioning.
Actress Ragini has acted in two Tamil films.
