Actor Surya to donate Rs 2.5 crore as education incentive

He said Rs. 10,000 will be given as incentive to those who are studying in school or college in their family

Chennai: Surya has decided to provide an incentive of Rs 2.5 crore for the education of the families of doctors, nurses, medical personnel who have done medical and service to the victims of coronavirus, as well as policemen, journalists, cleaners and cemetery workers who stood in the field during the lockdown period.

Surya has also decided to give Rs 2.50 crore out of Rs 5 crore to the Silver screen family. In a statement issued recently, Surya said that Rs 1.50 crore has been given to film associations and Rs 1 crore has been decided for non-members of film organizations, film distributors, mediators, spokespersons, theater workers and members of the charity movement. He also said that Rs. 10,000 will be given as an incentive to those who are studying in school or college in their family.
