Sri Lanka: Health Minister Pavithra Vanniyarachchi has said the government is not ready to completely lock down the country. She said this while addressing the parliament last week.

Curfew will be imposed only in areas that are coronavirus hotspots.

The curfew was imposed in some parts of Gampaha only after the race of patients was found.

Investigations are underway to find out who is responsible for the spread of the coronavirus at the Minuwangoda garment factory.

She noted that those in contact with those infected with the coronavirus have not yet been tested.
