All possible action to defeat Broadcasting Authority Act: Sajith

The Opposition Executive Council including the Samagi Jana Balawegaya unanimously decided to take the maximum possible action to oppose and defeat the Broadcasting Authority Act, within and outside Parliament, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said.

The Leader of the Opposition said that this bill that has been presented today is totally contrary to the Constitution of the country. It is harsh and anti-democratic. The Opposition Leader added that anti-democratic things as well as dictatorship have no place in our country and the Opposition was ready to do everything possible to save democracy.
