Sri Lanka: Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva, head of COVID-19 task force, said the Minuwangoda epidemic is being closely monitored.

Shavendra Silva has said that there is no need for a national lockdown or the imposition of a curfew in Colombo.

He said he was ready to face any situation.

Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General of Police Ajith Rohana said that if necessary, a national curfew law or a curfew order at the divisional level could be issued.
