Mumbai: Indian actress Deepika Padukone will address her followers in a live discussion on Instagram with World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom on mental health in times of COVID-19 crisis on April 23.

Deepika announced this on her Instagram stories this Sunday in effort to spread mental awareness during the time of a pandemic.

After being diagnosed with clinical depression in 2014, the Chhapaak star has earlier discussed on various platforms on how to combat mental illness and stigma that surrounds people who have depression and anxiety. She has also launched The Live Love Laugh Foundation to create awareness on mental health.

"Prioritizing mental health during the pandemic and beyond... Join Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General, WHO and I, as we discuss the importance of mental health during the #COVID19 pandemic and lessons we can learn for the future," Deepika shared in a post.
