Ottawa man killed in construction zone collision on Highway 103

A 65-year-old man from Ottawa was killed and his passenger seriously injured on June 6 in a multi-vehicle collision in a construction zone on Highway 103 near Mahone Bay, N.S.

RCMP said in a news release on June 8 that several vehicles were stopped on the afternoon of June 6 at temporary traffic lights in a construction zone when a pickup truck entered the zone without stopping.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 64-year-old woman from Ottawa, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
